Introduction
Incare is the International Care and Relief Department of the Assemblies of God of Great Britain which has provided relief and aid, both physically and financially to over 40 countries worldwide in the 20 years of its existence.

Working under the auspices of the World Ministries Department, Incare is dedicated to allowing the members of the Assemblies of God churches to respond to emergency situations based on the love of God for all mankind, regardless of race, creed or culture, with both fairness and equity.

In a world where natural disasters are sometimes made to look insignificant when compared to the scale of some man-made tragedies, Incare aims:
  • to serve the members of the Assemblies of God fellowships by enabling those members to participate in the process of helping, either by channelling funds raised by the churches, or by facilitating the transportation of physical aid collected by them.

  • to react and respond to emergencies as quickly as possible and does so by mobilising churches, individuals in churches or even whole groups of churches in the various regions of the Assemblies of God fellowship.

  • to help after the emergency. Although set up primarily to act as the Assemblies of God emergency response department, Incare fully realises that emergencies do not suddenly cease and that the long-term effects of a disaster can be as painful, if not more so, than the initial tragedy. Incare tries to react to these situations by informing individual churches of any on-going needs and encouraging those fellowships with an interest, or a heart, to help, to take up the challenge of continued support.

  • to use money effectively. It is not, and never has been Incare's remit to become a humanitarian aid organisation in the sense of owning warehouses for stock-piling goods or vehicles for transportation, which would require considerable financial investment and a large staff. Incare's goal is to use every penny raised from the Assemblies of God fellowships effectively and wisely, ensuring the money goes to where it is needed, when it is needed. Incare does, however, maintain close links with other aid agencies and has cooperated with many over the years to use all the resources available to give the best kind of help for each situation.

  • to remain accountable at all times. Incare is responsible to the Executive Council of the Assemblies of God and accounts are available through that office.
